Spiral Brick Stitch Tassel (Pattern Only)

This project is an excellent exercise in following a brick stitch graph. While the tassel can be made in tubular brick stitch, making it flat and then zipping the sides will give you a far better understanding of how to read the pattern. I have added 3 corkscrew fringes but you can add as many as you like and I have included instructions for a most useful crocheted Crayfish Cord.

Romantic Springtime Amulet Bag (Pattern Only)

In this project you will be using tubular and flat brick stitch. The flap is made using peyote stitch so that it has better drape. Included are instructions for the 2-bead start regardless if it is flat or tubular. This will assure that no threads will be showing on your finished work. Plain and Branch fringes are used to get a very dense look.

Monarch Butterfly

My good friend Jill Cremer designed the Monarch Butterfly for the work of art entitled Monarchs: Banner of America which was a group project featured in the first Miyuki Bead Challenge Book. The butterfly kit is presented here as an advanced brick stitch project. The finished butterfly may be used as a brooch, a barrette or a stand-alone work of art.

Additional Supplies Required: Small sharp scissors, bee’s wax, clear nail polish, E6000 jeweler’s glue, toothpick to spread the glue, clear plastic wrap, round nose pliers.
